Element UI admin credentials do not work after cluster power off/on

  • NetApp Element software 12.3.1  and earlier versions
  • NetApp Mangement Node ( mNode)

Issue

  • After an Element cluster has been fully shut down and powered back on the admin username/password does not work in the Element UI
  • Accessing Cluster UI fails with errors as:   

The user name and/or password is not correct.

  • Accessing  mNode swagger UI fails with error:  

 "Auth Error: Bad Request, error: invalid_client"

  • Accessing HCC page fails with error

{"error":"Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'value')"}

  • API calls to the MVIP using the same username/password combination succeed without issue
