NetApp Element software 12.5 and later

Event Summary

The network event will be generated for the following network interface errors reported on any of the physical network interfaces used in the storage cluster:

  • Received Misses
  • Received CRC Errors
  • Received Length Errors
  • Received Over Errors
  • Received Frame Errors

Validate

Find the details of the error and the corresponding interface by checking the Element UI Event Log or the Active IQ Events page

Resolution

Most of the above mentioned errors are caused by any one of the following

  • Bad NIC port(s)
  • Bad switch side port(s)
  • Bad cable between NIC and the switch
