BMC becomes unstable after storage firmware upgrade on H410S nodes

Issue

After storage firmware upgrade attempt to ver 2.27.1, all the storage nodes (H410S) BMC's in HCI cluster become unstable.

 ERROR   | Upgrade installation failed due to critical error. ex=[UpgradeError: UpgradeError: Internal error: Contact your technical support engineer.Storage node XXXX-XXX firmware package activation failed. Contact your technical support engineer.]

The connectivity to the BMC IP follows a pattern:

  • 25 seconds pingable
  • 50 seconds unreachable
  • 25 seconds pingable
  • 50 seconds unreachable
  • <repeat>
