Issue

  • Alert on AutoSupport: SolidFire Alert from <cluster_name> (Node Offline) Node Offline nodeID=<#>
  • Alert in NetApp SolidFire Active IQ: 
    • Error Code: nodeOffline
    • Details: The SolidFire Application cannot communicate with node ID <#>
The underlying causes of this condition varies and can include
  • Failing hardware
  • Network connectivity issues
  • Planned maintenance
  • Cluster upgrade
  • Add a new node to the cluster
  • An existing or new bug discovered
  • Systemic black hole issue
