Adding node running Element Software 12.0 – 12.2 to a cluster running 12.3 may fail with SF_ROLLBACK_TO_URTFI: unbound variable

Issue

When a replacement node running Element Software 12.0, or 12.2 is added to the cluster running 12.3.x, iRTFI fails with the following error:

 /sf/rtfi/bin/sfrtfi_common.sh: line 2935: SF_ROLLBACK_TO_URTFI: unbound variable

  • This error can be seen using the BMC console, a crash cart, or in the supportBundle/rtif/rtfi.log
