Issue

502 Bad Gateway errors encountered when attempting to manually move volumes between nodes during a performance issue and partial Element upgrade.

  • Cluster master service repeatedly crashing and moving between nodes, as seen in logs and support bundles.
  • High node utilization (>100%), especially on nodes involved in volume moves.
  • Some volumes report zero traffic in Active IQ; not all nodes appear to be reporting correctly.
  • 502 Bad Gateway error returned by API during manual volume move.
  • Cluster master node repeatedly moved across multiple nodes (including 12.9 nodes)
  • Multiple volumes showed zero traffic in Active IQ
