Issue

  • The Mediator mailbox disks get flagged as degraded:

  • EMS logs show takeover status flapping with mailbox disk removed/added.
[Node2: monitor: monitor.globalStatus.critical:EMERGENCY]: Controller failover of Node1 is not possible: Mailbox disks are not healthy.
[Node2: fmmbx_instanceWorker: fmmb.lock.disk.remove:info]: Disk 0f.21 removed from Partner mailbox set
[Node2: pha_main002: mlm.vmdisk.discovery:info]: A new virtual disk with virtual device ID 21 was discovered
[Node2: cf_main: cf.fsm.takeoverOfPartnerEnabled:notice]: Failover monitor: takeover of Node1 enabled
  • Restart of ONTAP Select Deploy VM doesn't fix the issue.
