ONTAP Select Cluster Deploy Fails - cluster Management IP Not Reachable
Applies to
- ONTAP Select
- Cisco Catalyst Switches with IP Device Tracking (IPDT) Policy
Issue
- Deployment of an ONTAP Select cluster fails.
- The cluster management IP is only reachable from within the local ESXi host or VLAN, but not from remote locations (e.g., from the Deploy VM or headquarters).
- The node management IP is reachable from all locations.
- After about an hour, the deployment task fails and the ONTAP Select VM is removed automatically.
- Other VMs on the same ESXi host/network do not have this issue.
- Test deployment works in the same environment.
