How to recover lost ONTAP Select cluster and Deploy after a cyberattack

Description

  • In the event that an OTS cluster, Deploy Utility, and all supporting infrastructure VMs (including Active Directory, DNS, and email servers) are lost due to a cyberattack; the data can be recovered to a new OTS cluster if there are NDMP backups or other types of 3rd party backups. 
  • This article will provide an overview of what is needed to recover the data to a new OTS cluster.
  • It is highly recommended that NetApp Support be engaged before going over this procedure to confirm the procedure is applicable.
