Same fault domain array LUN alert after adding new disk shelf in MCC-IP

Issue

  • Output of storage errors show

Disk: 1.11.2UID: 0014EE84:064CE000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000--------------------1.11.2 (0014ee84064ce000): All paths to this array LUN are connected to the same fault domain. This is a single point of failure.

  • The new shelf was connected to port 21 & 22 of the shared MetroCluster IP + Storage switches.
  • Multiple drives in the shelf reported the same error.
  • All drives were visible on the expected 8 paths, and cabling appeared correct.
  • No health alerts or other errors were present.
