Metrocluster vserver resync fails due to duplicate entry for object kerbrealm

Issue

  • Running the metrocluster vserver show command provides the following output:

Cluster: clusterB
Vserver: svm1
Partner vserver: svm1-mc
Configuration State : degraded
Stream status: Operation-failed
Corrective action: Resynchronize the configuration using “metrocluster vserver resync” command.
Failed row: Table name: kerbrealm, Operation: get, Fields: svm1-mc REALM-NAME
- Microsoft ip_addressA 88 5 server_name ip_addressA – ip_addressA 749 ipaddressA 464 –
Failed Reason: Apply failed for Object: kerbrealm Methos: baseline. Reason: failed to create hosts entry svm1-mc ; ip_addressA . duplicate entry.

  • The Kerberos Realm configuration was changed on the active vserver, but not replicated to the -mc vserver on the other cluster
  • Attempts to run metrocluster vserver resync do not sync the configuraiton on the -mc vserver
