Applies to

  • 4.5 watt 100G SFP
  • MetroCluster IP
  • Nvidia SN2100 backend switch

Answer

  • According to Nvidia, high power 4.5W SFPs needs to be inserted into ports 1, 2, 15, 16 to be able to use them
  • In a MetroCluster IP configuration, these ports are used for IntraCluster Node (1,2) or IntraCluster ISL (15-16) communication, hence they can't be used
  • Changing the RCF / config is not supported without confirmation from NetApp
