METROCLUSTER HEAL_AGGR FAILED - Reason: Verify connectivity to the remote site

  • Fabric MetroCluster
  • Cisco MDS 9148S switches
  • Inactive FC interfaces (all used interfaces)

Issue

  • Healing procedure fails due to a non-overridable veto:
    Node A (non-overridable veto): Verify connectivity to the remote site. For fabric configurations, make sure that the Inter-Switch Links are up
  • Output from 'show tech-support' on the Cisco MDS 9148S switches shows all FC ports as 'inactive', e.g:
    fc1/1       30     F      on      inactive     swl    --    --     --       -- 
    fc1/2       40     F      on      inactive     swl    --    --     --       --     
    fc1/3       40     F      on      inactive     swl    --    --     --       --  
  • Switched over site only sees local devices
