Disk redundancy failed in MCCIP with ethernet controller port and switch port down

Issue
- ONTAP reports the following on a daily basis:
HA Group Notification (DISK REDUNDANCY FAILED) ERROR
sysconfig -aoutput shows that one of the data ethernet ports is down:slot 3: Dual 40G/100G Ethernet Controller CX6-DXe3a MAC Address: d0:39:ea:e2:73:48 (auto-unknown-fd-down)
show interface briefoutput from the connected Nexus switch shows that the the connected switch port is also down:Nexus-Switch-1(config-if)# show interface brief | grep 33Eth1/5 33 eth trunk up none 100G(D) --Eth1/6 33 eth trunk up none 100G(D) --Eth1/17 33 eth trunk up none 100G(D) --Eth1/18 33 eth trunk down Link not connected auto(D) --
- Disk paths for the affected ethernet data port are missing from
DISK-PATHS.XML
- System Storage Configuration changed from Quad-Path HA to Mixed-Path HA
- The cable between the ports has been reseated but the issue persists
- The Nexus switch port has been bounced but the issue persists
