DR CONFIG REPLICATION FAILED following upgrade to ONTAP 9.7- Reason: duplicate entry

Issue

  • Volume and clone were  previously deleted during an upgrade

MetroCluster C1 Node A

Thu Aug 06 19:32:31 PDT [C1_NodeA: mgwd: mgmtgwd.jobmgr.jobcomplete.failure:info]: Job "Clone Create" [id 213496] (Create Volume_clone1) completed unsuccessfully: Failed to create the clone volume on node. Reason: Operation is disallowed on an aggregate which is not home. (1260858).

  • The Cluster was upgrading during this time.

MetroCluster C2 Node B

Fri Aug 07 19:32:42 -0700 [C2_NodeB: mgwd: mgmtgwd.jobmgr.jobcomplete.failure:info]: Job "Clone Create" [id 176578] (Create Volume_clone1) completed unsuccessfully: Failed to create the clone volume in Volume Location Database. Reason: duplicate entry. (1258298).

  • This left a Stale entry on the MetroCluster partner
