XCP sync deleted data created directly on the destination volume

Issue

  • During a migration from Hitachi storage to NetApp storage using XCP, periodic xcp sync operations were performed after an initial xcp copy
  • New data was manually created on the destination volume (not present on the source)
  • When xcp sync was run, these target-only files were deleted
