Will LUN NAA ID change if old switches are replaced with new switches

Answer

  • A serial number is assigned to LUN when it is created on NetApp.
  • And this SN can be used to convert it to Hex which will be seen as NAA ID on host end for FC LUNs
  • If the FC connectivity has EOSL switches and migrating them to new switches will not cause NAA ID change as this is the property of LUN on NetApp.
