Unable to connect NetApp Storage to Host after Migrating SAN Connectivity to New Cisco MDS Switch

Issue

  • After migrating SAN connectivity from an old Cisco MDS switch to a new Cisco MDS switch, the NetApp storage system was unable to connect to hosts.
  • Zoning was configured at the switch level, and the remaining FC ports from NetApp were connected to the new SAN switch.
  • However, the NetApp console displayed “None Connected” for these FC ports.

Log Output Example:

network fcp adapter show
# Output: FC ports show as "None Connected"

event log show
# No specific errors, but path connectivity not established
