Applies to

  • ONTAP 9.x
  • ESXi 6.7 Update 3
  • Windows Server 2019 (Guest)
  • Azure File Sync

Issue

  • LUN's used space is not reflecting post tiering data using Azure File Sync.
  • In the host, the space shows as reclaimed, once tiering is completed, however in the ONTAP System Manager, there are no changes visible even after waiting for a long time.
  • Issue is observed only with older data, as any new data which is tiered, reflects immediately indicating successful space reclamation.
