Issue

  • LUN/Volume used for log rotation and weekly deletes all logs, consumes all ONTAP volume space
  • Linux host  df -h reports more free space availble on LUN mount than ONTAP volume
  • ONTAP volume does not have autogrow, snapshots, fractional reserve
  • ONTAP LUN is thin / not space guaranteed and has space allocation disabled
