Multiple VMs reported corrupted in ESXi after the ontap upgrade

Issue

  • VMs rebooted without warning on ESXi host end.
  • Ontap upgrade was recently performed.
  • A successful power off and on of VMs can be done but they crash again.
  • Storage Vmotion of VMs to healthy datastores fails due to VMFS corruption.
  • Multiple VMs experienced outages.
  • Low Rx seen on storage FC port where these hosts are actively accessing the data.
  • drop_abts_invalid errors reported on SLI port 1x
