Linux mount fails due to SCSI-3 persistent reservation on non-preferred path

Issue
- Linux host fails to mount a NetApp LUN
- Mount operation returns an error similar to:
mount(2) system call failed: Invalid exchange
- LUN shows SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation registration only, no active reservation
- ONTAP reports registrant information for a single iSCSI path
- iSCSI Logical Interface (LIF) associated with the TPGroup is hosted on a node different from the volume’s hosting node
- Preferred path shows no SCSI-3 registration
- Write I/O from the preferred path fails with reservation conflict
