Issue

Increased latency accessing data seen through multiple FC ports on storage.

Storage FC ports are reporting errors such as the following:

scsitarget.fct.linkError: FC target HBA: 2d received unexpected error: RECV_ERROR, AEN Status1: 0x8048, Status2: 0xffff

Review of the switch shows the switch ports are mostly clean of errors but there are reports of over subscription if MAPS has been configured to load balance and report:

2026/03/04-03:41:51 (GMT), [TO-1006], 5879140, FID 128, INFO, sanswitch01, Flows destined to 11b00 device have been moved to PG_OVER_SUBSCRIPTION_4G_16G PG.

Esxi host reports the following alerts in the vobd logs:

[esx.problem.hardware.fpin.fc.peercongestion.creditstall] FPIN FC credit stall peer congestion: Host WWPN xxxxxxxxxxxx, target WWPN xxxxxxxxxxxx.
