Issue

  • Windows production server is writing to a LUN hosted on a SnapMirror source volume 
  • The volume hosting the LUN is replicated to a SnapMirror destination volume
  • SnapMirror relationship is broken-off making the destination read/write
  • Another Windows server mounts the LUN from the destination volume
  • Changes are made to LUN file system hosted on source volume
  • The broken off SnapMirror relationship is resynced, SnapMirror update is run, and the SnapMirror relationship is again broken-off
  • Windows LUN hosted on SnapMirror destination volume does not reflect changes from source
