  • Allow S3 Multi-Part Uploads with arbitrary sizes specifies whether ONTAP S3 allows parts of any size when performing S3 multipart uploads.
  • Below is the behavior of each setting:
    • false: When disabled, ONTAP follows common S3 behavior:
      • Part size must be between 5 MiB and 5 GiB.
      • Each part size must be aligned to 1 MB increments, for examples: 4 MB, 4GB, etc.
    • true: When enabled, ONTAP permits arbitrary part sizes, without being limited by the standard S3 multipart upload size restrictions.
