secd.netlogon.noServers error seen with 0xc000035c NT_STATUS_NETWORK_SESSION_EXPIRED in ONTAP 9

Issue

  • Periodically the below error is seen(Usually for every 10 hours which is the default time for Kerberos context cache expiry) in EMS.log:

Fri Jul 14 09:43:31 PDT [Node_name: secd: secd.netlogon.noServers:EMERGENCY]: None of the Netlogon servers configured for Vserver (vserver_name) are currently accessible via the network.
Fri Jul 14 19:48:29 PDT [Node_name: secd: secd.netlogon.noServers:EMERGENCY]: None of the Netlogon servers configured for Vserver (vserver_name) are currently accessible via the network.

  • SMB tree connect failing with NT_STATUS_NETWORK_SESSION_EXPIRED (0xc000035c) in Secd.log:
