Issue

  • Network port could not join the LACP aggregate with following error reported in ONTAP event logs:
ALERT pvif.lacp.outofsync: ifgrp a0a, port e1a cannot synchronize with the LACP aggregate.
ALERT pvif.lacp.outofsync: ifgrp a0a, port e1b cannot synchronize with the LACP aggregate.
ALERT pvif.lacp.outofsync: ifgrp a0a, port e1c cannot synchronize with the LACP aggregate.
ALERT pvif.lacp.outofsync: ifgrp a0a, port e1d cannot synchronize with the LACP aggregate.
  • This message occurs when a link is operationally up but cannot be aggregated into its configured ifgrp within the time limit
  • Troubleshoot with ifconfig -v
