Issue

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 systems acting as NFS clients may intermittently hang or become unresponsive when accessing directories on an ONTAP NFS export.
  • When attempting to access some large directories via NFS, Windows Server 2022 hangs indefinitely.
  • Packet traces show the client repeatedly calling READDIR with the same cookie=0 even though previous responses indicate eof=0
  • The same folders are accessible from the same clients via SMB
