Will all nodes in the cluster connect to vscan scanners?

No. 
  • Nodes in the cluster will only connect to vscan scanners if there is a data access on the node.  If a node does not have a lif for data communication, then it is not expected to reach out to a vscan server.
  • Those same data LIFs are commonly used to connect to the Vscan scanners, though not required.
