- Traffic may not be possible to load balance depending on the environment:
- If the connections are from a specific set of servers, one server may use a single port of an
ifgrp
- This may cause the other connections that are distributed to that port to suffer if the utilization hits 100%
- Investigation of the client end may be required
- A distributed NAS environment may do better with hundreds of connections instead of just a few in terms of IP or port based load balancing
