Answer

  1. LDAP or NIS must be configured and functional for the NFS Vserver
  2. NSSWITCH must be configured to include LDAP or NIS for the Vserver
  3. The LDAP or NIS server must have complete group information for users requiring group-authorized access to unix security-style data.

WARNING

If the prerequisites are not met, any supplemental group(s) will not be used and access to data will be impacted
