Answer

 

  • Volume name and junction path change:

    • NFS environment: Requires unmounting and remounting with the new junction path.
    • CIFS environment:
  • Vserver name change:
    • CIFS access: No impact.
    • DNS registration: If the vServer name is registered as a hostname or FQDN, update the DNS entries accordingly.
  • vScan Server Considerations
    • Treat vScan servers as regular CIFS clients.
    • No special changes or actions required for vScan servers beyond the steps mentioned above.
