Vscanners are not able to connect to the ONTAP nodes due to downed LIFS

Issue

  • If a data LIF is not present (or down), the AV Connector will not attempt to connect to clustered Data ONTAP nodes
  • The ONTAP AV Connector does an ONTAPI call to get the list of 'UP' data LIFs that are serving CIFS
  • The ONTAP AV Connector will only attempt to connect to LIFs recognized as 'UP'
    • This takes into account both the administrative status and operational status of a given LIF
    • This also takes into account whether or not a given LIF can reach a netlogon server
