Users unable connect to NFS datastores after power maintenance activity

Issue

  • Datacenter has power maintenance activity, impacting the AFF/FAS and its network.
  • After the maintenance is completed, everything is powered on.
  • Users are unable to access NFS datastores, which are in 'unknown' status in vCenter.
  • Reboot of VMware ESXi servers does not help.
  • The ONTAP cluster services, volumes, and LIFs are healthy.
  • Ping fails between the ONTAP cluster and the VMware ESXi servers.
