  • Unable to mount the NFS on Linux client with error RPC: Timed out

[root@host ~]# mount -o vers=3 10.x.x.x:/volume /mnt -vv
mount.nfs: timeout set for Tue Aug  8 04:03:22 2023
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'vers=3,addr=10.x.x.x'
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6
mount.nfs: portmap query retrying: RPC: Timed out

  • EMS reports below error when running showmount command for storage IP on client.

ERROR Nblade.nfsConnResetAndClose: Shutting down connection with the client. Vserver ID is 3; network data protocol is port map, Rpc Xid 0xf593031e; client IP address:port is 10.x.x.x:959. local IP address is 10.x.x.x; reason is RpcBindProcGetAddrError - RESULT_ERROR_GENERAL_ENTRY_NOT_FOUND.
