Unable to delete vserver FlexCache peer relationship due to stale MSIDs

Issue

  • When FlexCache cache vserver becomes unavailable prior to removal of the FlexCache volume, deletion of the vserver peer relationship cannot be performed
  • When performing vserver peer delete commands, it results in the following error:
    • The peer relationship is in use by FlexCache. Use the "volume flexcache show" and "volume flexcache origin show-caches" commands to view the FlexCache relationships. Use the "volume flexcache delete" command to delete the FlexCache relationships and try the command again.
  • Commands against the origin volume will fail as well with the following error:
    • volume flexcache origin show-caches -cache-vserver <vserver>
      Error: show failed: Notice: Found stale entries corresponding to the msids 9999999999. Contact technical support for assistance.
