SnapMirror fails after switch maintenance when LIFs fail to incorrect VLAN

Issue

  • Following a LIF failover (such as switch maintenance or storage failover/takeover), on or more LIFs are unreachable
  • As a result, SnapMirror between the impacted cluster and a peered cluster fails
  • The home port of one or more impacted intercluster LIFs were a VLAN-tagged port
  • Following the failover, the LIF is not hosted on a VLAN-tagged port, or hosted on a port with the incorrect VLAN tag
  • This may also happen in the other direction, where a LIF fails over from a non-tagged port to a VLAN-tagged port
