Issue

  • Showmount  command on client throws error " Timed out".

# showmount -e LIF IP
Clnt_create:RPC:Port mapper failure - Timed out

  • RPCinfo on client shows required ports not opened between Ontap lif and this client or blocked in the network or network has some issues communicating with the lif.
