ONTAP S3 server not listening on configured ports

Last Updated:

Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • S3 Server

  • When attempting to an ONTAP S3 server, connections are refused (i.e. a TCP RST packet is returned to any attempts from a client to open a connection with a SYN packet)
  • From the client, this may appear as though the server is unreachable or there is no connectivity between the client and the server
  • Service policies are correctly configured for the appropriate LIF to serve data on the respective ports
