Issue

  • Nblade.vscanNoScannerConn errors can be seen frequently on one node

[Node-02: nblade2: Nblade.vscanNoScannerConn:EMERGENCY]: Vserver "SVM" has no virus scanner connection.
[Node-02: nblade2: ems.engine.suppressed:debug]: Event 'Nblade.vscanNoScannerConn' suppressed 26132 times in last 601 seconds.

  • There is no such error on the partner node in the cluster
  • vserver vscan connection-status show-all command shows the Connection Status as connected on one node and disconnected on the partner node
  • None of the SVM LIFs on the Node where the errors appear can reach the VSCAN server
  • These errors can also suddenly appear after an ONTAP upgrade
