Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Sophos Antivirus
  • Microsoft Access DB

Issue

  • Access DB engine runs a process that writes the start and end date/time of a job to a log. Process is failing because it can't write end date/time due to lock on the file.
  • Windows Error: The Microsoft Access database engine cannot open or write to the file "\\netapp\netapp_test\log.ldb". It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write its data.
  • Breaking locks and re-running process still results in the above Windows error.
