Is there any way to control an LACP port to force it down or up?
Applies to
- ONTAP 9
- LACP
Answer
The only way to trigger a port switch is to either:
- Physically disconnect the active port, or
- Administratively disable it using a command such as:
::> network port modify -node <node-name> -port <port-name> -admin-status down
To bring the port back up, use:
::> network port modify -node <node-name> -port <port-name> -admin-status up
Additional Information
- LACP Configuration: Combine physical ports to create ONTAP interface groups
