Is it possible to get a details on file scan results of an external vscan engine?

Answer

ONTAP or the AV Connector cannot display details about scan results or why files were skipped:

  • ONTAP and AV Connector only receive simple pass/fail information in the form of a status code from the Vscan Engine
  • ONTAP will only display the number of files scanned and/or skipped
  • For more details you can check logs created in the external Vscan Engine or check with your antivirus vendor
