Is it possible to create name-mapping rules in a SVM with many replacements to one pattern

Answer

No,  name-mapping rules cannot be configured within the same SVM to support multiple replacements for a single pattern

Note: If attempted to create such a mapping, you will receive an error message:

  • On CLI: “Error: command failed: The pattern 'XXXX' already exists at position X”
  • On System Manager:  “Duplicate entry”
