Impact of changing "OU" of BindDN user in LDAP Configuration

Answer

  • If the OU is being changed, then BindDN user also need to be adjusted. If this is being changed at LDAP end not being adjusted at ONTAP, BindDN User will not be found, and this account cannot be used to connect to LDAP server and services using the LDAP will be impacted.
  • Hence validate the OUs correctly and configure the changes at both LDAP and ONTAP.
