How the User is able to map the Shared Drives without having DACL Permission

Answer

  • User possesses the necessary access rights at the share level, which enabled them to map the Shared Drive on Windows Server
  • Command to verify the share-level permissions by utilizing the command

::> vserver cifs share show -vserver -share-name <share_name>

Note : A share level permission gives you access to the share itself, from the network. Users can view file and subfolder names, read data in files, and run programs. By default, the “Everyone” group is assigned “Read” permissions.
