Issue

  • When attempting to restore files using the Rubrik backup tool to a NetApp CIFS share with NTFS security style, the restore job fails for certain files.
  • The files appear as 0KB on the destination, and errors similar to the following are observed in security traces.

Error: STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED smb2.response_to==11614...Access is denied because the UNIX permissions/uid/gid/NFSv4ACL cannot be set in an NTFS qtree while setting attributes....FilePath: /restoretest/TO/.test_internalSecurityStyle: ntfsEffectiveStyle: unix (on source)EffectiveStyle: ntfs (on destination)
