"Failed to resolve name" when adding domain user to local group in ONTAP

Issue

Attempting to add a domain user to an ONTAP local group results in the error:
Error: command failed: Failed to resolve name "Domain\Domain Admins".
From SECD log,the request failed with:
  • TCP connection to port 445 on each DC timed out
  • 6940   RESULT_ERROR_SECD_NO_SERVER_AVAILABLE
  • CIFS name lookup failed / Could not find Windows name
