EMS reports secd.conn.auth.failure "could not authenticate over the network" for LDAP

Issue

  • The following error is observed periodically in the the event logs:
    • Thu Jul 21 18:09:51 -0400 [Node1: secd: secd.conn.auth.failure:notice]: Vserver (SVM1) could not authenticate over the network to server (dc1). Error: Can't contact LDAP server (Service: LDAP (Active Directory), Operation: MapNetbiosDomainToADDomain).
  • This may lead to a secd.ldap.noservers error:
    • Thu Jul 21 18:09:51 -0400 [Node1: secd: secd.ldap.noServers:EMERGENCY]: None of the LDAP servers configured for Vserver (SVM1) are currently accessible via the network for LDAP service type (Service: LDAP (Active Directory), Operation: MapNetbiosDomainToADDomain).
