EDA tool freezes due to the remaining temporary directory

Issue

  • When executing a command in the EDA tool, a directory is copied under a different name as a temporary directory and deleted after the specified processing.
  • However, depending on the data in the directory, it may not be deleted and remain, resulting in the EDA tool freezing.
  • When a deletion failure occurs, the following message is output:
    Failed to delete design "directory name".: Cannot destroy an object which has active cache which means it is in use by this or other processes.
  • This phenomenon does not occur when the data is placed on client's local disk.
